Ramblings of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Well, it’s been a little while since I posted about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so I thought since we’re about half-way done with this season, it was a good time to come back to it! I’d like to start out by saying how much I love this season so far! They’ve been doing a really good job with the time travel plot and making everything make sense. Before we get too far into this, there will be SPOILERS for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season seven!
Well, now that that’s out of the way, let me just say WOW. I don’t think any of the theories I had before the season started have been right so far, but with what we have gotten, I don’t even care!
I was surprised to see the Malick family show up, but I really like how big of a role the different family members are playing this season. We saw Gideon Malick as a villain in season three, and it turns out his father and brother are just as bad as he is! Especially given the fact that the Chronicoms changed time and gave Wilfred and Nathaniel Malick a few extra years to terrorize our favorite agents.
Also, Daniel Sousa from Agent Carter has joined the team this season! I knew beforehand that he would be on, but I didn’t realize how much! I’ve got to say, I really like having him on the show, and I hope he stays till the end.
It seems like they might have Sousa and Daisy end up as a couple, and the idea is slowly growing on me. At first, I was really holding out hope for Daisy and Lincoln and Sousa and Peggy, (I don’t care what Avengers: Endgame says!) but now I would be okay with Sousa and Daisy ending up together. Especially after their scenes in the latest episode, Adapt or Die. It was so sweet when he was taking care of her after Nathaniel Malick (a character I was not expecting to see in this season, by the way) tried to steal her powers. AND THEN, despite his bad leg, he picks her up and carries her out of there, saving her life. Congratulations, Daniel Sousa, you were my favorite thing about this episode. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Speaking of Daisy Johnson, today is her birthday! She was born July 2, 1988. Happy birthday to Quake, an awesome agent and superhero! To celebrate, here’s a little edit I did of her.
Finally, I wanted to share a few pictures I took the other day. In the last two episodes, we got to see these amazingly retro S.H.I.E.L.D. uniforms:
Pretty great, huh? Well, I collect American Girl dolls, and have for about ten years now. I realized that I have a blue jumpsuit in my collection that looks really similar to these. So, I made a few adjustments to make it look closer to the S.H.I.E.L.D. and dressed up my doll Luciana!
Isn’t that adorable? Luciana’s has a few extra patches, since it’s supposed to be from NASA, but once I added a S.H.I.E.L.D. badge and logos plus the white stripes, it looks super close to the ones on the show!
Well, that’s all of my random Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. thoughts for today. I hope you enjoyed hearing a few of my thoughts on this season of S.H.I.E.L.D. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the episodes!
Keep an eye out for Chronicoms, and be sure to come back soon!
