Introducing The Willow Creek Chronicles

Hello there! It’s been a little while since I posted anything, hasn’t it? The break was totally unintentional; I didn’t have any motivation to write for awhile there. Now I’m getting back into it again! My current project is The Willow Creek Chronicles! I’ll hopefully be sharing the first part soon, but today I’m going to be sharing a little bit of an introduction to the series!

A quick description:

When four nineteen-year-olds reunite in their sleepy hometown the summer after their first year of college, they don’t have expectations for a very exciting summer. Little do they know that hidden beneath Willow Creek’s small town exterior is a secret that’s about to change their lives forever.

The four main characters:

Elizabeth Bennet Watson, goes by Lizzy. She is a quiet, introverted bookworm and the only one who stayed in town. Her hair is curly and brown; she usually wears it in a messy bun. Big black glasses frame her brown eyes. Her skin is pale and freckles are spattered across her nose. Her normal clothing choices include sweaters and leggings. She feels more at ease with fictional characters than real people.

Tiana Isabella Roman, prefers to be called Tia. Despite being loud and obnoxious, she has always been popular. She is attending a beauty school far from Willow Creek. She has long straight platinum blonde hair, brown eyes, and perfect skin. She only wears designer clothes. Her Russian grandmother raised her.

Silas Alexander Maddox, most people call him Si, but his close friends (mostly Tristan) call him Sam. He’s a mischievous jokester who switched majors twice his first year at college before settling on computer science. His red hair sticks up in all directions and his hazel eyes often twinkle with mischief. He has typical redhead skin that sunburns easily He’s pretty chill, and dresses to reflect that. T-shirts, hoodies, and jeans. He’s been friends with Tristan since they were three.

Tristan Oliver Beckett, usually just goes by Tristan. Sometimes, his family or Sam will call him Tris, but he doesn’t really like that. He’s very serious and can be rather moody; he usually acts as Sam’s conscience and voice of logic. Both guys go to the same college, but Tristan is studying business. He is tall with brown hair and eyes and tanned skin. His smiles are a rare thing. He dresses fairly casually, though not as casual as Sam. He has four younger siblings.

The setting:

Willow Creek is a small town in the American Midwest. There is one church, one school, one library, and one restaurant that isn’t a chain. The next biggest town is Pemberton about an hour away. There is a college there that Lizzy’s father teaches at and both guys attend. The area around both towns is known as Pemberton Valley, though no one quite knows why. It’s not a valley at all; it’s completely flat.

Nothing much exciting ever happens in Willow Creek. The only reason visitors usually come is to eat at The Pemberton Valley Restaurant. Even so, it doesn’t bring in a lot of outsiders. More people leave Willow Creek than those that come.

Lizzy, Tia, Sam, and Tristan are about to discover that there’s more to their town than first meets the eye. It’s going to change their lives and the town forever.

I hope you like this sneak peek at the upcoming story! I’m very excited to start sharing it. Posting probably won’t be as regular as some of the other series I’ve posted since this one is still being written.

Stay tuned for the beginning of The Willow Creek Chronicles!
