Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It’s Today!

Finally! The day we all (or maybe just I) have been waiting for! May 27, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Seven premier. I will literally be counting the hours until 9:00 tonight.

Well, to wrap up our countdown series, I thought I’d share a few specific things I’d like to see this season. This is the last season, so there’s several things I’m hoping to see before it all ends.

Six characters I want to see return:

1. Grant Ward. This one seems pretty likely to happen. He was there at the beginning, and it would make sense for him to be there at the end. He’s been a popular character, even after he turned to the Hydra side of the force. I’d honestly be more surprised if we didn’t see Ward return.

2. Vijay Nadeer. You may not remember him, but Vijay was an Inhuman with a small part in Season Four. His sister was a senator who really, really, hated Inhumans. He got killed, and the last we saw of him, besides a brief appearance of his double in the Framework, he was seemingly undergoing Terrigenesis again underwater. So, was he really dead? That’s a storyline I’d love to see resolved, not to mention we never really knew what his powers were.

3. Aida. There’s really no reason for Aida to come back, she was just my favorite villain on the show, and I think it’d be cool to see her again.

4. Bobbi and Hunter. I’m counting these two as one because if they come back, it should be together. (Even though we saw Hunter in Season Five without Bobbi.) They’re two of the few main characters who didn’t die when leaving the show. They could easily come back, even without time travel. Plus, I just miss them!

5. Lincoln Campbell. Poor Lincoln. Poor Daisy. Just bring back Lincoln so Daisy can be happy for once. If you want to read my whole theory about how they could bring Lincoln back, check out the post here.

6. Snowflake. Now this one is a little random. Snowflake was part of Sarge’s team in Season Six and was completely bonkers. She was locked up in the Lighthouse and then we never saw her again. Most of S.H.I.E.L.D. was forced to evacuate when the Chronicoms attacked, but it’s unknown if they took Snowflake with them. Personally, I think she got left there and was recruited by the Chronicoms. I think she’ll show up working for them in Season Seven, if she shows up at all. (I also have a theory that she’s the long lost sister of Grant Ward, but that’s pretty far fetched.)

Five miscellaneous things I want to see:

1. FitzSimmons’ daughter. I am dying to find out more about her! We know in the timeline where the earth got destroyed that she married a man named Owen Shaw and had a son named Deke, but that’s about it. We don’t even know her name. It’s strange, because we’ve actually seen her, well a monolith creation-fear manifestation version of her at least. I really hope we get to see Little FitzSimmons at least once this season.

2. Grant Ward’s childhood. We got to hear several different versions of the tragic story that was the Ward children’s life, and most of the people we heard from were well known liars, so it’s never been clear what actually happened. Plus, way back in Season One, during a lie detector test, Ward mentioned having a sister. He also mentioned two brothers, both of whom we met later, and his parents, who we never met but were mentioned again. Why do we never hear anything else about a sister?

3. New S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. In Season Six, it was mentioned a couple of times that they wanted to build a new academy to train agents. I would love to see a little bit of that, or at least have them start preparing for it. I think it would be nice for FitzSimmons to run the academy. Then, they could settle down in one place but still be part of S.H.I.E.L.D. And they wouldn’t have to do anything life threatening anymore. I think we can all agree they deserve that.

4. Agent Carter Season Three. Okay, this one needs a little bit of explaining. Agent Carter was another Marvel show centered around, you guessed it, Peggy Carter. It got two seasons before it was abruptly canceled. Needless to say, there were a lot of loose ends left hanging and questions left unanswered. We know that Daniel Sousa, one of the main characters from Agent Carter is going to be on this season of S.H.I.E.L.D. (I’m seriously so excited, Sousa is awesome.) I’m hoping our agents meet up with him sometime after the events of Agent Carter Season Two, and he can fill us in on what happened afterwards. Also, Daniel Sousa was a love interest for Peggy, but now after Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers time traveled back to be with Peggy, so where does that leave Sousa?

5. The Bus Era. Otherwise known as early Season One, or The Time When Everyone Was Happy and Hadn’t Been Traumatized Yet (Except for May). I think it would be really interesting and funny to see the Season One versions of the characters meet the current versions of themselves. Everyone has changed so much, especially Fitz, Simmons, and Daisy. It would also be funny to see some of the newer characters, like Deke and Yo-Yo, react to meeting the earlier versions of their friends.

Overall, I have high hopes for this season. I know most of the things on this list probably won’t happen, but it’ll be fun to see if I was right about anything.

Well, enjoy the rest of your day, I’m hoping for it to go by quickly!

Hail Hydra, wait no. May the shield be with you; that’s not right either. Oh well. Sending you all imaginary lemons for reading my posts!
